WHAT'S HAPPENING

GREEN AUDIT REPORT

Talents are needed for jobs to be done in the Church Buildings.  Sign up sheet is in the Narthex.  For more details please contact Dave Swan @ 905-892-7678

SPECIAL VESTRY MEETING - June 17 - (after 10 a.m Service)

A special vestry meeting is being held to approve spending of funds to refurbish the elevator.  As this elevator is a necessity and is used almost daily, it is important that we get approval from the Diocese to expend funds which cannot be done until approved at a vestry meeting.  Please attend and show your support for this project.

GROUPS

ACW

Our Anglican Church Women meet once a week, on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the MacDonald Room (bring a brown bag lunch)  We create beautiful baby quilts and other quilted items for sale at the bazaar.  We also sell church calendars.

Altar Guild

The ladies of the Altar Guild work diligently to prepare the church for Sunday service each week.  New members are always welcome.

Chi Rho 2017

Sep 14

This is a group that meets usually the second Friday of each month (except Jul and Aug), for fun and fellowship.  We start with a “Pot Luck” lunch at Noon with a SHORT (15 min) meeting following lunch.  Then it’s on to the fun stuff.  Activities such as: Name That Tune; Chinese Auction; Bingo; Guest Speakers; trivia challenges etc.  Anyone is welcome to join.  Just show up and we will make you feel welcomed.  We meet in the Crysler Room.

In-Betweens

The “In betweens” team hosts events for outside groups as well as for our own people.  They host bridge luncheons, retirement parties, teas, birthday parties, the Easter Vigil, and even wedding receptions.

Informals

Tues 11 am

The Informals meet weekly on Tuesday, and are very active (bring a brown bag lunch).  They make lap robes and hand-tied quilts.  These are taken to nursing homes and also to the Warehouse of Hope to be distributed in developing countries.  They also collect eyeglasses and stamps to be taken to the Warehouse of Hope, and grocery tapes (Foodland) which are tallied to stores for a cash rebate.  This group helps with the parish bazaar and holds a summer raffle and bake sales throughout the year to raise funds for the parish.
